How do I register my child with "USA Swimming"?
Registration is very easy:
1. Write a check for $58 per swimmer made out to "Florida Swimming"
2. Bring your check and a copy of each swimmers birth certificate to your coach (most YMCA Family centers have a copy machine you can use on site)
What are the benefits of a USA Swimming membership?
In order to swim any of the non YMCA hosted meets we compete in (about one per month) your swimmer must have current USA Swimming membership. By competing in these meets your athlete is eligible for the Florida Age Group Championships, as well as Florida Senior Championships, Southern Zone Championships, and Junior and Senior Nationals. Their times will also go into the Florida Top Ten database, allowing you and your swimmer to see his or her rankings state wide.
In addition to being able to swim in competitions you have access to the USA Swimming website with lots of information for athletes and parents. Check it out here.
